Active Interest Media Names Elizabeth Turner Editor-in-Chief of Vegetarian Times

Magazine Raises Rate-Base to 250,000

El Segundo, CA (May 24, 2007) -- Active Interest Media, today announces that Elizabeth Turner has been named Editor-in-Chief of Vegetarian Times (www.vegetariantimes.com). In addition, the company announces that in January 2008, the magazine will raise its rate base to 250,000.

Prior to joining Vegetarian Times, Turner was the Managing Editor of Natural Health magazine. Her previous experience includes International Managing Editor of Weider Publications, Managing Editor of Shape Cooks, as well as developing and producing 10 special editions of Shape, Fit Pregnancy and Natural Health.

"Liz is the perfect person to take the helm of Vegetarian Times," says Patricia Fox, General Manager of Active Interest Media's Healthy Living Group, which includes Vegetarian Times, Yoga Journal, Better Nutrition, the recently acquired Backpacker magazine, and other custom publications. "Her editorial experience combined with her deep interest in food and health will continue to make Vegetarian Times a must-read for anyone interested in food and healthy living."
